Do you miss life life before internet and cell phones?I dunno about you, but I liked riding my bike over to my friends house and banging on their window to see if they were home.I liked going to music stores and browsing through casettes and VHS tapes, they're pretty much all out of business in my cityI liked going to the video store and browsingI remember when you'd stay out to late with a friend or friends and your parents would be worried.I actually recently watched a VHS recently and got really nostalgiac, all the previews before the movie starts, the fuzzy quality, and seeing all the previews saying " coming soon to own on video" I remember walking up and knocking on the doorNow everyone just textsI've tried giving up my cell phone and internetBut sadly, just about everyone all my friends and family use them so it's really hard to not use them when everyone around you doesAnd I need internet for my job and my college, I have to turn assignments in online, check my work and school email, etc.Theres really no excitement anymore, wanna listen to music? just download it. I remember back in the late 80s early 90s at a music store where they had a listening station with big headphones and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I hate having all of it really convenient, back then you had the radio or you went to the store and bought a cd, and if you wanted to sample a song, you did so at the listening station in the store.Why go to the video store when you can either netflix it or download torrent it?Why get out of your car and knock on the door when you can just text?I remember just sitting aorund talking to friends, sometimes really weird stuff, but it was enjoyable. Now everyone has pathetic text conversationsExampleMe Sup?You Nm, u?Me boredYou sameme ughhyou ugh i hate schoolme I hate workyou im tiredReally? It's so pathetic. When my family and friends texts me like that, I flat out tell them if you have something to tell me, just tell me, Im not going to have a conversation about nothing with you for an hour. It's annoying and stupid.I miss life before internet and cells, you can go ahead and call me crazy if you'd like.
